Red Tie Gala Raises
Funds for Cardiac Care

Elegant Affair Benefitted Deborah Heart and Lung Center

More than 300 supporters turned out on Saturday, November 7th for the Deborah Hospital Foundation’s Fourth Annual Red Tie Gala where they dined and danced the night away to Big Ric and Vegas. Special guest entertainer from Las Vegas, Jay White performing as Neil Diamond brought down the house. As well Deborah recognized the Foundation’s first-ever event Honoree, Former Congressman Jim Saxton.

The event, which took place at the Park Hyatt Regency at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia, raised more than $270,000 in support of Deborah Heart and Lung Center, which for more than 85 years has never billed a patient for heart, lung, or vascular care.

Live and silent auctions helped the Foundation to exceed its fundraising goals. Featured items included a Philadelphia Sports Fantasy Package, a weekend retreat at Normandy Farms as guests of Chef Jim Coleman, and a star-studded weekend in New York City to attend the Tony Awards. An autographed Jon Bon Jovi guitar was hotly bid on and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a surgeon for a day with Top Doc, heart surgeon Dr. Lynn McGrath, topped off the bidding for the night, with two winning bidders closing out the auction.
